Someone talk me out of takin in this stray cat!

OK the creatures have got the best of me.  There is a tabby that cries every time I come home.  It follows me around the yard.  I know I will end up taking it in if someone doesn't take it away soon.  It just calls to me.  I cant afford another cat and I don't want one.  They are a pest in my yard and garden.  Someone talk me out of taking in this stray.
