FlordaQueen Peach

Friday after work I planted my FlordaQueen Peach. The label said it will flower in spring and have summer fruit. This is a self fertile specimen. I dug a hole 60 in wide and 3 Ft. deep. I had to take an ax to a few roots from trees in the area but I had the hole dug within an hour. Mixing in the Garden soil and Sphagnum Pet Moss was the easy part. I filled the hole with water after adding enough of my mixed soil for the tree to balance on. After I had the tree in place I filled in around it and added mulch around the base. Today I put three shrub and tree spikes around the tree at about a yard away from the trunk.
Now I will see how well it will grow here in Panama City.
