Mom's Bread Stuffing Recipe
6-8 Cup bread cubed (if it is fresh bread you must toast it'
1 Cup onion chopped
1 Cup celery chopped
1 Cup corn
3 Tbs butter
1 Cup turkey stock
1/2 teaspoon parsley
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/8 teaspoon ground sage
1/8 teaspoon rosemary
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste ( I just add about 1/2 teaspoon)
2 eggs beaten
Put butter, celery and onion in a pan and cook until tender. ( set aside)
Mix spices with bread. ( set aside )
Mix eggs and stock stir well.
Add corn, celery and onion into egg and stock mixture and stir well.
Add bread mixture and fluff to moisten bread.
Place in a casserole dish and bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
